School For Ecocentric Evolution & Design Strategies

“Our primary mission is to support collective evolution toward a life-sustaining world through social, economic, spiritual, and ecological healing & transformation.”

What We Are About

Healing justice on all scales

We at SEEDS honor the fractal nature of all things, which necessitates transformative healing and justice to occur on multiple scales of impact if it is to take root in a meaningful and long-lasting way over time.

Soul-centered Development

We at SEEDS believe that within each of us resides a unique seed or essence. Individuals are happier, relationships are strengthened, and the capacity of the entire community is broadened when all people are supported in encountering and then bringing forth their unique soul gifts.

Holistic Community Development

At SEEDS we honor the transformative power that groups and communities have in promoting healing, justice, and bioregional sovereignty. Although community development practices have looked different across time and culture, certain basic principles have remained consistent across diverse regions and cultures.

Ecocentric Worldview

At SEEDS we believe that we must collectively transition from the ego-centric worldview that the majority of us are currently stuck enacting toward an ecocentric worldview that honors the intrinsic value of life in all forms.

The Eye of the Storm

The Eye of the Storm

These are the days when my departure approaches as a cold wind at my back tugging me away from you and the warm fort I have built around my life. “There are cracks in the walls,” I say, “and I can only repair them from outside.” You hear me say this, but you don’t...

Flux and Reflux

Flux and Reflux

The ebbs and flows of our love keep me spinning and swimming toward some solid ground to stand on. In search of this land, I peer both inside myself: deep into the marrow of my bones, into the height of my full upright posture, into the ever-present beating of my...

Meet The SEEDS

Alia Yarrow

After several years of working as a clinical social worker in the San Francisco Bay Area, I left my career in the summer of 2018 due to disillusionment in our current systems of injustice and motivated by a vision of co-creating a more beautiful world. My clinical focus has since expanded to include the intersections of individual healing and wholing, community belonging and sovereignty, and earth honoring and regeneration. I believe that these three scales of human experience and impact are essential for true collective human evolution. I’m in the process of learning how to weave together the many threads of my background and skills into a coherent tapestry of offerings for my people. To do this, I draw upon my training as a wilderness soul guide, cultural facilitator and mediator, novice energy healer, student of permaculture and systems-thinking, explorer of consciousness, radical visionary, and crafty maker. I’m learning how to let the earth speak through me, surrender to my dreams, and cultivate magic. If you feel called to connect with me further, please check out my emergent offering of online soulcentered counseling, found in our offerings page. I’m so glad you found us!

Hayden Shaw

I’m a learner and a seeker of wisdom, both ancient and modern. I strive to cultivate light, while honoring the shadow in myself and all things. I respect my body as a vehicle for healing and integration, and I honor my history of illness as the most impactful teacher I’ve ever known. I bring a passion for permaculture and primitive living, a deep dive into esoteric texts, a joy for dance and primal movement, a felt gratitude for authentic connection and community, and a clear vision of the world our hearts know is possible.

Live Interviews

Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives… It is this type of spirit and this type of love that can transform opposers into friends. It is this type of understanding goodwill that will transform the deep gloom of the old age into the exuberant gladness of the new age. It is this love which will bring about miracles in the hearts of men.
